Summary: The main character is on his flight for his next business trip until a huge cube from space swallows up the plane. Inside they find a mini companion cube and its white-haired, handsome alien man that wants to learn about humanity and its limitations. Why Japan? Because they're more likely to share their bread or something.
Episodes: 12 - technically 13 because of episode 0
Thoughts: I've recently been interested in scifi and decided to pick this up with Kimchee. I really didn't know what to expect from it, but it was a fun ride throughout. Definitely gives a lot of food for thought in terms of how humanity could handle huge changes in environment, society, and being free of human limitations. I love white haired kid who's name I still can't pronounce properly. A good watch if you want something thoughtful and slow.
Side note: The show switches between cgs and 2d animation. It can come off as jarring, but eventually it blends together pretty well. The CG animation is very fluid!
Summary: Fat and sad kid gets bullied every day, so his mom lets him move to a new school. He goes to sleep, thinking that maybe his life will change, and wakes up the next day SEXY. Double take in the mirror and he's wondering what's going on. Turns around and finds his original fat body sleeping away on the sheets. Thus, he begins his life switching between his two bodies.

Thoughts: I read this all in one sitting the other day, and it's really a fun and thoughtful ride. Hilarious at one point, then suddenly sucker punches you with reality and sadness. It is a bit on the graphic side and touches upon real issues (can be universal issues, but highlights on Korean society), so it's not always sunshine and flowers. However, you're sure to get a good laugh out of it and some values to hold onto after a good read.
Summary: Main girl has hopes and dreams!!!!!! AND SCHOOL STOMPS ALL OVER IT AND SAYS SHE'S DUMB AND WON'T GO INTO COLLEGE AND MAKE HER DREAMS COME TRUE. But she's a strong, happy, right-minded girl who still strives for her dreams of becoming a webcomic artist. Then, there's the perfect, student body president at the top of his class BUT HE HAS NO DREAMS AND IS SUFFERING BECAUSE HIS POSITION IN THE WORLD HAS NO INFLUENCE IN PAVING HIS FUTURE. Yet, he discovers where his heart stands in the midst of it all and aims to do his best with the cards he's been giving. Finally, there's that bad boy we all fall in love with because they turn out to be the cutest, sweetest, most thoughtful characters with a heart of gold - but he's a bit more than that. In short, high school sucks.

Thoughts: This is my crack drama of the season. It's so bad. I thought I was immune to bad boys but I WAS SO WRONG. But before that, as expected of the "school series," 2017 focuses in on the school system and how the expectations of students and how students are labeled can be extreme. After 2015, the events can be over exaggerated (to the point cheesy), but the heart of the show is there and it's charmed me once more. BUT AFTER 2015, THEY BETTER NOT RIP MY HEART OUT WITH THE WRONG GUY BECAUSE I'M STILL TRAUMATIZED FROM 2015. Definitely recommended to those who like light-hearted, high school fun! Maybe a good introductory to Korean dramas too! I really botched the summary section. This is why I don't talk about k-dramas.
